Elizabeth Smither has published 16 collections of poetry, as well as novels and short stories.  Her most recent collections are The Year of adverbs (Auckland University Press, 2007), Horse playing the accordion (ahadada books, 2007) and The commonplace book; a writer's journey through quotations (Auckland University Press).
