James Byrne’s most recent poetry collection is Blood/sugar, published by Arc in 2009. He co-edited Bones will crow: 15 contemporary Burmese poets, the first anthology of Burmese poetry ever to be published in the West (Arc, 2012) and Voice recognition: 21 Poets for the 21st century (Bloodaxe, 2009). He was a Stein Fellow (‘Extraordinary International Scholar’) at NYU between 2009-2011.
